Brewery Alivaria

Carlsberg Group in Belarus

The Alivaria brewery in Minsk was established in 1864. It has 860 employees and a brewing capacity of 1.2 million hL. The company's main brand, 'Alivaria', is one of the most recognised brands in Belarus.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) had been a major shareholder in Alivaria since 2005 and was looking for an international partner to help develop the business. It now holds 7.8% of the shares.
